As the major national importing lignum distributing center, the importing lignum from Shanghai Port has large quantity, good quality and various breeds this year, and suits the change of the whole market in the eastern China and the national lignum market. Sum up, there are three bright points.
     Point 1, the structure of the importing lignum from Shanghai Port appeared a big change. Firstly, in the importing log, the rate of the soft wood log decreased in a wide breadth, while the rate of pourous wood which is always high didn’t change at all. The total of the importing lignum from Shanghai Port in the past half year is 600000stere, including 90000stere of soft wood log. It is oppost to the fast increasing of the national importing lignum this year. There are four reasons: the first one is that soft wood is mostly used in capital construction and production, such kind of project is often used interiorly and Western Area, but the demand of this wood in Shanghai is falling: the second reason is that in recent years, the wood saving and reusing advance rapidly in Shanghai, taking steel as wood and taking plastic as wood gain ground: the third reason is the real estate industry of Shanghai and Eastern China is developing fast, the demand of architecture and fitment rises rapidly, so the rate of pourous wood increased in a wide breadth: the forth is that the national importing soft wood is increased, mostly for complementing the material gap which is appeared by actualizing Tianbao Project in the southeast of national forest area, the imported north sea timber from Russia. And Shanghai and Eastern China have a limited requirement to such kind of wood, so there has little affection, the import is less.
